Bosun is committed to and experienced in creating a positive experience for people undergoing surgical dental treatment.  

After qualifying with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Merit in clinical dentistry from Newcastle University, she carefully curated her postgraduate training to tailor her professional development in oral surgery. Following dental foundation & core training, she undertook specialist training in oral surgery as an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow, culminating in Membership of Oral Surgery in affiliation with the Royal College of Surgeons of England.  

Bosun has worked in both hospital and practice settings, and offers a broad range of oral surgery treatments, including but not limited to:  

Wisdom tooth extraction, dental implant placement, sinus lift (direct & indirect), guided bone regeneration, socket preservation, apicectomy, exposure or removal of impacted teeth to facilitate orthodontic treatment, cyst management, biopsy and tongue tie release.

She fully understands that people are often anxious about having surgical treatments and has undertaken postgraduate training in conscious sedation techniques with the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry. She uses safe and effective sedation techniques to facilitate dental treatment with anxiety control.

As well as being a skilled clinician, Bosun has a naturally inquisitive mind that extends beyond everyday oral surgery – this has supported her interest in clinical research. Outside of dentistry, she has played the piano for most of her life and recharges herself through music. She enjoys being physically active and is a keen learner in bouldering, badminton and pilates, to name a few.
