Your implant treatment can occur during a single appointment or span several months, contingent upon your specific circumstances and requirements. The typical approaches include:

One-stage
Two-stage
Immediate

However, not all options are suitable for every patient. Following a comprehensive clinical consultation, we will discuss all suitable options for your treatment and recommend the most appropriate one based on your needs.

One-stage

The one-stage dental implant is inserted into a fresh, healing, or healed extraction site and remains visible above the gum right after placement. This approach eliminates the need for a second surgical stage to uncover the implant. However, it typically takes several weeks or months before the dental implant is ready to support a tooth.

Two-stage

The two-stage process begins with the placement of a dental implant into a fresh, healing, or healed extraction site, which is then covered by a layer of gum, concealing it from view – this constitutes the first stage.

In the second stage, which occurs several weeks or months later, the dental implant is surgically uncovered, and necessary components are installed to bring the implant above the gum level.

Immediate

An immediate dental implant entails placing the implant directly into the extraction site right after a tooth extraction. Whether it’s a one- or two-stage procedure hinges on the local bone and soft tissue conditions. However, this approach isn’t suitable for all patients.
